One Dalmation

A brief mention of face paints and Coby was extremely insistant that he be made up like a puppy. His excitement lasted about 10 minutes though and it was a struggle to keep him still while I painted his nose and spots. A valiant attempt I thought...

Cute puppy!

Sad puppy!

Flying Bears

Today we took Coby along to an Open Day at our local fire station. The highlight was watching the firemen ascend into the sky on the ladder/crane with a troupe of volunteer teddy bears and then hauling them over the side. Fortunately, the daredevil teddies were attached to parachutes and landed very gently back on the ground...hoorah!

Coby anticipates his trip to the fire station

And on arrival immediately took up position

The crowd gathers for the big demonstration...

Then suck in their breath as Iggle Piggle
is tossed over the edge

Iggle Piggle parachutes to safety

Coby celebrates their victory

And ponders a career among his heroes - or maybe not

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDAD!

On Sunday we celebrated grandad's birthday. It was a beautiful hot day, so we had tea in the garden and a cheeky chocolate cake. After Coby had fallen into a deep slumber, mum, dad and I continued to sit in the garden, sipping cool beer and watching the sun go down - the perfect end to a perfect weekend.

Grandad prepares to blow out the candles

Coby is relieved because it means he gets to eat cake

Family Fun

Nanny & grandad arrived safely today at the start of our big weekend together. We all spent a wonderful Saturday in the sunshine. Firstly indulging in a gloriously tasty lunch at The Plough in Shepreth followed by a rather splendid tour of Shepreth Wildlife Park.

Coby & Louis Part XVIIII

Today, Maddy and I took the boys to Fairlands Valley Park to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. We collected Louis from nursery where Coby shouted his name across the room and said "Louis, Louis, its Coby here". Then we took a leisurely stroll into the park and fed the ducks. The boys love hanging out together but it ended in tears when I told Coby we were going home for tea. He grabbed Maddy's hand and said "no, don't want it, want tea at Louis' house!"..
