The Nativity Part 1

My little Coby performed in his very first nativity recently. He had to say a few lines, which he did loud and proud and during the Christmas songs, Coby's voice can be heard above the rest as, in true Coby style, he vied to be centre of attention! His friend, Presley, was a red nosed reindeer and can be seen looking slightly despondent - very funny. The concert combined a graduation for some of Coby's pals moving up to primary school in January, so we say goodbye to twins Aaron and Raya who Coby has enjoyed spending time with since he started at nursery back in 2006. Unfortunately, I had to work and missed it, but Al captured the whole thing on video...Coby is the second King to the left

The Nativity Part 2

Congratulations!

I'm very happy to announce that my best friend from the age of five (so we're talking 30 years), Louise, is expecting her first baby. She and her husband Paul were married in July but have been together for 18 years - we all took our GCSE's together - ahhhh!!

Congratulations Louise & Paul and all the best for 2010!

Welcome to the Family

What an exciting day! We drove over to Wimbledon to visit Teresa and Adam and to meet the latest addition to our family - Amber Lily! She was as tiny and cute as we imagined her to be and Teresa filled us in on the details of the birth - its a long story!

Needless to say, Teresa is pretty worn out, so Adam cooked us a lovely dinner of Shepherds Pie and vegetables. We ALL had seconds it was so scrummy. Coby enjoyed cuddles with Amber and we took her a Christmas Bauble with her name and date of birth on.

Welcome to the family, Amber. You're gonna love us and we're gonna love you so much!

Confident Coby

Having cursed myself for getting out of the habit of taking Coby swimming, we're getting back into the habit and he doesn't seem too fazed by it. I expected tears and tantrums the first time, but Coby amazed me by lifting his legs off the ground and kicking and splashing. He was wearing his ring and arm bands, but thats cool as its all about building his confidence in the water at the moment. He even tried putting his face in the water but decided he really didn't like that! When he was a baby, I took him to Aqua Splash and I have signed him up for swimming lessons to begin next year, hopefully, as the waiting list is HUGE! In the meantime, we'll just have fun.
