Woodside Farm
On this gloriously sunny day, we headed to Woodside Animal Farm near Luton. We met up with Michaela & Lola, Maddy, Justin & Louis and Paula, Mark & Jasmine. And we had a wonderful time showing the kids all the different animals. Coby was introduced to llamas, chipmunks, capybaras and otters, but only seemed interested in rabbits and kept shouting "oh rabbits - where are you?".
We took the kids on the Helter Skelter slide, trampolines, tractor ride and the indoor adventure playground too and they all sat down nicely to munch on their sandwiches at lunch time.

Hurry Up Spring
We are patiently awaiting the arrival of spring and to be honest we're starting to get a little disheartened. The sun has been out in force recently, which is wonderful, but the temperature has really dropped again. We can only stay indoors and watch Cars, Madagascar and Toy Story for so long before we get cabin fever. Even so, we managed a quick half hour in the fields where we live on Tuesday and Coby, in his usual friendly manner, greeted everyone that walked passed us. He also signed hi autograph in the mud, with some help from mummy of course!

The Gruffalo
One of Coby's favourite reads at bedtime is The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. I think it gets an airing at least twice a week:
"He has terrible tusks and terrible claws, and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws"
"Where are you meeting him?"
"Here, by these rocks, and his favourite food is roasted fox"
"Roasted fox!! I'm off!" Fox said
"Goodbye little mouse" and away he sped
"Silly old fox! Doesn't he know, there's no such thing as a gruffalo?"
Julia's other books include The Gruffalo's Child, Room on the Broom, Charlie Cook's Favourite Book and A Squash And A Squeeze.

A Very Vertical Drop
On a recent outing to Coby's favourite, Jungle Mania, he and Adam took a turn on the vertical slide. This is the only place where Coby displays a fearless disposition, except on the rope bridge, which he clearly has issues with.

Big Cook, Little Cooks
Today, Maddy popped over with Louis and made Chocolate Rice Crispy Cakes with the boys. Aside from oats all over the hob and sticky lumps on the floor, it was a job well done!
