Day 5 - Cliffs of Moher

On Monday we spent a beautiful day at the Cliffs of Moher which rises over 200 metres above the Atlantic Ocean. It was truly breathtaking and, as is often the case, these photographs do not showcase just how magestic they are. Atop the cliffs you can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay and Loop Head. The experience includes O'Brien's Tower, built in 1835 as a viewing point for the many tourists. After hauling Coby out of the gift shop, where he purchased a very rare and precious glitter ball containing a little leprachaun, we had a scrumptious lunch at Vaughan's Anchor Inn in Liscannor. Al opted for the seafood chowder and fish and chips while I had scallops with seasonal veg washed down with a pint of Guinness!
